COVID-19: HOW TO KEEP IT TOGETHER DURING SCARY TIMES

Hello, folks!

It has been a while since I’ve posted anything on my blog as I’ve been super busy working on my upcoming book InnerFitness®: Five Steps to Overcoming Fear and Anxiety While Building Your Self-Worth, scheduled to be out in September 2020 (Hopefully!).

But this blog post isn’t about the book or any of my products or services, it’s about something we’re all experiencing right now and we need all the help we can get — rich or poor, we’re all on the same boat.

By now, the Coronavirus or COVID-19 has probably rear-ended your life — I know it has mine! It has put the entire world on its knees and no one knows exactly what the future holds — or do we? I know one thing for sure: We need to stay as strong as possible, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Our leaders are scrambling to find solutions, our medical experts are telling us to do the right thing and practice social distancing and stay home. Some say for a few weeks and others for a few months, nobody knows for sure. Like a lotus flower, In the midst of chaos, we need to remain calm and cultivate compassion for one another. The ramifications of giving in to fear can be devastating, so in order to not lose our minds and health, I invite you to take this time as an opportunity to push the “reset” button and start building your inner and outer strengths.

I know most of you are in-home quarantine and are not working — that means no income — this sucks! I too had most of my speaking events, client appointments, and retreats canceled. Like you, I’m home, playing with my Frenchy “King”, cooking, reading, writing, spending time with loved ones, meditating, exercising, amongst other basic things. Staying home for days and weeks can be daunting when we have little children or when all we know is working and hardly spending time together. Research has shown that in times like these, the divorce rate spikes exponentially, so let’s avoid losing our health, sanity and our partners. I think I can help with that!

Meanwhile, please stay connected and check my Instagram and Facebook pages for updates on what you can do to stay sane in an insane world.

Here are some tips to stay healthy and sane: (You can also find them on my social media platforms):

Stay home and be mindful that if you have to go out, practice social distancing, stay six feet away from anyone, wash your hands and wear a mask if you need to.
